2Locating a mark and finding one are different questions
Most marking schemes answer yes or no for a whole file. This one is described as detecting down to the sample level, which answers a different question: which part of this recording was generated. For any audio that mixes a real voice with a synthesised passage, that is the question a listener would actually want settled.
The article does not ask for that granularity, and recording it here is not a claim that it is required. It is worth a row because it shows the ceiling of what a marking scheme can report, and because the duty is written around content that is generated or manipulated, a phrase that plainly contemplates files which are partly one and partly the other.
3A paper is a different kind of source from a pricing page
Every other entry in this record is read from material written to sell or to support a product. This one is read from a publication written to be reviewed, which changes what the sentences are trying to do: they describe a method and the trade-off it makes, and they claim performance against measurements rather than against competitors.
The trade-off named is the interesting part for a compliance reader. A mark has to change the audio enough for a detector to recover it and little enough that a listener does not notice, and the paper puts a loss function shaped by how hearing masks sound at the centre of that. The marking paragraph asks for solutions that are effective and robust as far as is technically feasible, and a published account of where the difficulty sits is closer to that wording than a feature line can get.
