ElevenLabs and Synthesia on marks that stay where they are

Both entries describe something a customer cannot lift off. One because no route is published; the other because the page says plainly that a finished file is beyond the route it does publish. As of 2026-09-22.

Inclusion rule. Two entries whose published answers to one column pull in different directions. Cells hold each vendor's own wording from the page its entry names; pairs that agree on the column are not filed at all. Order. Fixed order, and the two columns are in the order the heading gives them.

1Two different reasons a file cannot be cleaned

Silence about removal is a gap in documentation. An explicit statement that a finished asset is out of reach is a description of behaviour. They produce the same practical result and they are different kinds of evidence.

A production can plan around the second. The first leaves a question that can only be settled by trying, which is the sort of thing nobody tries on a deliverable under deadline.

2Permanence is what a disclosure regime wants

A notice a customer can remove from a finished file is a weak notice. Read from that side both entries are the strong case, and one of them is strong by accident of what was not written down.

Read from the production side the same property is a hazard. An asset marked because a flag was set in code, on a day nobody remembers, cannot be repaired by buying anything.

3Only one of the two names a scope for its detector

The audio entry states that its checking tool finds only marks this vendor wrote and not another platform's. So the mark that cannot be removed is also a mark only one party can confirm.

The video entry says nothing about checking at all. Between them the pair covers both halves of an awkward position: a mark that stays, and no general way to establish that it is there.
