That is worth knowing before a production starts rather than afterwards. The person who decides what every file in a season carries may be the one person nobody consulted about disclosure.

2Nothing outside the request remembers the answer

A tier is recoverable from an invoice and a setting from an account page. A boolean in one call is recoverable only from whatever the integration logged, and the vendor does not undertake to keep it.

Which makes this the clearest case in the record for writing the value down at delivery. One field in a row of a spreadsheet answers, cheaply and permanently, a question that is otherwise unanswerable.

3Defaulting to false is the whole of the behaviour

Because the documented default adds nothing, silence in the code means an unmarked file. A team that never heard of the parameter has made a decision by not making one, and it is the decision that leaves nothing for a viewer.

The record keeps the default on its own row for that reason. A capability and a behaviour are different facts, and only one of them describes what a library of clips actually contains.
