What buying a higher plan actually changes
Six entries price the removal of a visible mark. On all six the machine-readable row records no documentation, so a purchase changes what a person sees and leaves the provider half of the article untouched. As of 2026-09-12.
| Point | Where it sits | What the record holds |
|---|---|---|
| What a purchase removes | Six entries | A visible notice, or the phrase describing one |
| What it leaves in the file | The same six entries | Unknown; nothing on that layer is documented either way |
| What the publisher still owes | Article 50(4), deployer | The whole of any disclosure, marked file or not |
Inclusion rule. Entries whose pages price the removal of a visible mark. Entries where a setting or a request parameter controls it are recorded elsewhere. Order. What changes first, then what does not.
1A clean file is not a compliant one
Removing a vendor notice takes nothing away from a publisher that they were relying on, because the notice was about the tool in at least one case and about nothing stated in the others.
The disclosure duty falls on whoever publishes generated content, and it does not move because a file looks tidier. That is worth separating explicitly, since a clean deliverable feels like a solved problem.
2The narrowing for creative work is about what a notice says
For work that is evidently artistic, creative, satirical or fictional, the paragraph keeps a disclosure and narrows it to revealing that such content exists, without hampering enjoyment of the work.
That is a small requirement and it is a requirement. A production that has bought away every mark still has to arrange something, and nothing in this record tells them how much is enough.
3Timing is what a purchase cannot buy
The information has to be given clearly and distinguishably at the latest at first exposure. Anything arranged after publication is late by construction, and a plan change made afterwards does not reach a file already out.
One entry's notice is applied where the deliverable is made and is on unless switched off, which is the arrangement that meets the timing requirement without anybody deciding anything. It is also the one entry in this group whose lever is not a price.
