ElevenLabs and Nova Reel on how far a check reaches

Both entries publish a way to check, and the two ways reach different populations. One covers files this vendor made; the other covers any file carrying a manifest in a published format. As of 2026-09-22.

Inclusion rule. Two entries whose published answers to one column pull in different directions. Cells hold each vendor's own wording from the page its entry names; pairs that agree on the column are not filed at all. Order. Fixed order, and the two columns are in the order the heading gives them.

1A single-vendor detector answers the question nobody needed asked

Given a clip known to come from a platform, asking that platform whether it made it is nearly redundant. The interesting case is a file of unknown origin, and there the tool returns nothing usable.

The page says so itself, which is more useful than a broader claim would have been. A reader who reads absence as authenticity has been misled by the tool rather than by the documentation.

2Public tools inherit their reach from a specification

Nothing about a published manifest format belongs to one vendor. Anybody can write a reader, and several have, which is why a file can be checked by somebody with no connection to whoever produced it.

That is what the interoperability word in the clause is reaching for, and it arrives from the standard rather than from the vendor. No single company can manufacture it alone.

3Both entries also narrow their own coverage

One states that models from elsewhere offered through the same product are generally not marked. The other attributes its credentials to a stated version. Neither claims to cover everything it touches.

Those hedges are the most valuable sentences on both pages. A register that dropped them would report two products as marked and leave a reader unable to sort their own files.
