SynthID and Synthesia on two different senses of permanent

Durability means two things and this pair holds one of each. One entry is about surviving a distribution pipeline; the other is about surviving its owner, which is the sense a production discovers under deadline. As of 2026-09-22.

Inclusion rule. Two entries whose published answers to one column pull in different directions. Cells hold each vendor's own wording from the page its entry names; pairs that agree on the column are not filed at all. Order. Fixed order, and the two columns are in the order the heading gives them.

A regulator wants marks that persist. A production wants marks it can control. These two cells give the first reading and the second, and nothing else in the record makes the collision so plain.

The register keeps both under one row name and says which sense each uses. Renaming the row per entry would read more neatly and would hide that the two senses collide at all.

2One list is about routes, the other about accidents

The four named operations in the first cell are routine steps in getting video to a viewer. The case in the second cell is a flag somebody set in code, applied to a file that was then approved.

So the first is a claim about engineering and the second is a warning about process. A delivery record fixes the second at no cost; nothing fixes the first except measuring it.

3Neither cell gives a number

Designed to survive is design intent, and no rate of detection under each operation is published. Cannot be removed is a statement about a product's behaviour, with no exception listed.

A reader wanting figures will not find them on either page. What they can have is the wording, the address it came from and the date it was read, which is the limit of a documentation-based register.
