Synthesia and Wan on what changing course actually costs

Inclusion rule. Two entries whose published answers to one column pull in different directions. Cells hold each vendor's own wording from the page its entry names; pairs that agree on the column are not filed at all. Order. Fixed order, and the two columns are in the order the heading gives them.

1Neither route repairs a file that exists

Both arrangements are about what the next render carries. A finished asset stays as it is in both cases, which is easy to miss because one of the pages frames its route as removing the watermark.

Reading the instruction carefully, the removal happens by producing the video again. On a generated asset that is not a repair: a re-render is not guaranteed to match an approved cut.

2A free lever and an expensive one, on the same layer

Setting a field costs nothing and can be done per clip. Upgrading and re-rendering costs money and time and has to be scheduled, and on a season of episodes it has to be scheduled repeatedly.

That asymmetry has nothing to do with the clause and everything to do with when a production makes its decision. Deciding late is cheap on one of these tools and expensive on the other.

The same support article records that a mark applied in test mode cannot be taken off a finished video. So one of this pair has a documented case where the removal route does not apply at all.

The other entry has no equivalent, because its flag was never applied without somebody asking. Nothing there can be applied by accident, which removes the whole category of problem.
